CODING EXPERIENCE, PART ONE

This is my first time blogging, I started my coding journey the year 2020 the journey was not an easy one my first Coding Avenue started with udemy.com. What I'm going to say about the website it's purely my opinion, the journey start it off somewhat of a roller coaster. Meaning I would try different coding languages because I've been reading so many reviews and articles how people made so much money learning this code or that code. So I decided to go to the website and I signed up for maybe 2 to 3 courses at the time, not thinking about me reality of it. Add a time I didn't know learning to code. It's not just some thing a person can learn alone you need a mentor someone who's going to actually tell you the steps you actually need to take. While taking these courses, I didn't receive the guidance I needed in order to become the web developer I wanted to be in my life. In my personal opinion, Udemy did not give me the guidance I needed, it has a great course structure for people who are into following long course structures without any guidance. More power to those people, but it wasn't for me.

Recently, while searching YouTube, regarding Visual Studio Code themes, I found a business owner, Joe Santos. He is the owner of codingphase.com, I was introduced to his YouTube channel, but most importantly, his platform regarding how to code. While listening to the many videos, he has on YouTube regarding web development. These scenarios he was talking of what's exactly my current situation. Meaning, I couldn't really understand what I was coding through another platform and I was struggling a lot. While within the coding phase platform, I am so glad I found the platform because I am truly learning the code, and I can understand it in a way that I couldn't before. The instructor makes the material so that anyone can understand i, no matter if you are in your 20s to your 60s if you want to learn to code you will learn the code through this platform. I am still in the early stages of learning the code through the platform. So far I've changed my development skill from react development to Shopify theme developer.

The reason why I switched from react development to Shopify development because I didn't want to repeat what I've learned every couple of years. I rather choose a skill that will not only make me money, but also be profitable and not give me a headache every couple years because I'm really learning a new entity that has to do with react development. Don't give me wrong I think react development is pretty cool, but I've only seen the shiny parts of the react development. Meaning, people building pretty cool applications with react, but from what I seen, they really don't show how they're building it. They're not showing their mistakes and how to fix those mistakes. As I said, previously, I think react is pretty cool, but it's just not for me. It could be for other people, but I'm just stating my own thoughts about learning react for myself.

Right now, I'm in the middle of learning CSS is the type of program your language I would need to learn in order to make beautiful pages. I would tell you, while learning from coding fais.com I feel so at ease. Because before I was learning the code, I was stressing myself out because I thought I had to learn everything I can in order to say "I am a web developer". I am now learning that I don't have to stress myself out in order to learn everything under the sun. I can already take the skills I am learning and implement those skills. I will continue to document blog about my experience with coding throughout my entire coding journey. I hope this article will bring a clear perspective regarding coding and learning to code because it's not as easy as everyone on the Internet says it's to be. It is truly a process, and if you are able to have a positive mindset, you will be able to get through the journey of coding just like I will!

Until next time…
